Rules
MNRMO27 will be using a 75-minute hanchan timer (+0, or ending when the final hand in progress finishes after the timer rings) along with the World Riichi Championship 2025 Ruleset with standard penalties and the following modifications:
Mod.3.2 Nagashi Mangan
Mod.4.4 Kazoe Yakuman

Structure
The tournament will feature 6 cumulative hanchan, followed by a cut for the top 4 players to participate in a 2-hanchan set-play final, with scores reset for the top 4 after the cutoff. For all hanchan, a round-robin pairing system will be used to ensure all players face unique opponents each round. For the last 2 hanchan, play will continue for all players for placement.
Prizes
Prizes are to be announced closer to the event.
Food & Drinks
Water will be provided for all players. The tournament will not provide lunch but will provide a complimentary dinner service on Saturday, April 17th, during the scheduled dinner break after Hanchan 4.
Please fill out the Dietary preferences & restrictions form attached to your registration confirmation email by X/XX to ensure there will be food there to suit your dietary needs.
